WINE ALERT – Under-the-Radar Cab,
Cab Franc, and Red Blend

VINO! – Spokane’s Wine Authority –
Finding the High-Value, Small Production Winners

Date: January 16, 2013

(THESE WINES ARE PRE-ORDER ONLY, NOT CURRENTLY IN-STORE)
Our suppliers brought us some exciting new samples not long ago, and this is a great red lineup:
two bold versions from Walla Walla plus a bargain red blend from a “mystery producer” in Woodinville.
The tiny, little-known Rasa Vineyards of Walla Walla has a rapidly growing reputation for producing
deeply flavored, 93-97 point-winning Cabs and Syrahs. Their full-throttle, yet-unrated “PB” Cabernet Franc,
christened with the first letters of the owners’ names, has its Spokane debut here. Watermill Winery
On the Oregon side of Walla Walla’s AVA, produced only 5 barrels of their 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon
that simply explodes with lush, dark cherry flavors. Lastly, the super-bargain “Woodinville Red” hails
from a company called Envious Winemakers who choose to keep their source a secret. You’ll find it by-the-glass
in many of Seattle’s finer restaurants. Each of these is a super-tasty, well balanced wine, seldom seen
in Spokane.

May we suggest:
A 3-pack with 1 of each – only $69.40 | cc 58.99
A 6-pack with 2 of each – only $131.86 | cc 117.89
Mixed case with 4 of each – only $249.84 | cc 235.96

(TO ORDER: simply reply to this message with your request at vino@vinowine.com) or click the order now button at the top of this post!

……………………………………………
1. Rasa Vineyards “PB” Cabernet Franc 2010
Columbia Valley, WA (winery in Walla Walla AVA)
(Yet unrated)
One Bottle $29.50 | cc 25.08 (cc = 15% discount*)
5% Six Bottles $168.15 | cc 150.45
10% 12 Bottles $318.60 | cc 300.90

ViNO! Quotes: Displaying oodles of rich flavor yet carrying a nice vivid brightness, this beautiful red impressed us all. Here are some of our descriptors: “Chocolate covered Marischino cherry” “Cola/berry” “Elegant!” “Notes of blueberry” “Smooth, medium-full body” “Strikingly good!” “Elegance and purity” “Juicy and racy” “I WANT some of this one!”

……………………………………………
2. Watermill Cabernet Sauvignon 2008
Columbia Valley, (winery in Walla Walla AVA, Oregon)
Reg. <del>$27.95</del> SALE PRICE $25.95

One Bottle $25.95 | cc 22.06 (cc = 15% discount*)
5% Six Bottles $147.92 | cc 132.35
10% 12 Bottles $280.26 | cc 264.69

ViNO! Quotes: Mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Merlot, fruit was sourced from some of Washington’s most respected vineyards including McClellan Estate and Pepper Bridge vineyards in Walla Walla, and Kiona vineyards on Red Mountain. Exhibiting deliciously rich flavors of black cherry and ripe blackberry, it arrives balanced and elegant with fine dusty tannins. Medium-full bodied and enjoyable on its own, this is quite the graceful drink, sure to please anyone familiar with the best reds from this region’s finer producers.

Wine Enthusiast gave 89 points: “Chocolaty and fruit-forward, this Cabernet, a mélange of cherries and milk chocolate, is instantlysatisfying. Medium length, it has plenty of toasty highlights, along with coffee and caramel from barrel aging.” - Paul Gregutt, (December 2011)

Watermill winery notes: “This isn’t a big, tannic Cab; rather it’s plush, easy to drink with food or on its own, enjoyable without being overpowering. In other words, it plays well with others. Andrew (alliteratively) described this wine as “cherry and vanilla aromas and flavors flowing harmoniously into a silky, soft palate that glides into a long chocolaty finish.”

…………………………………………….
3. Envious Winemakers “Woodinville Red” NV
Woodinville, WA

One Bottle $13.95| cc 11.86 (cc = 15% discount*)
5% Six Bottles $79.52| cc 71.15
10% 12 Bottles $150.66 | cc 142.29

ViNO! Notes: “Envious Winemakers” created this blend by using an undisclosed prominent winery’s “second cut” without compromising the reputation of the original winery. Although not a blockbuster, this represents significant value offering delicious black plum and black cherry flavors in a medium-full bodied wine carrying soft tannins, and a lovely spicy finish.

Winery Notes: “Envious Winemakers is a mysterious group producing a GREAT little wine! The Woodinville Red is an inexpensive blend of some of the best vineyards in the state, such as Conner Lee and Stillwater Creek. There’s a toasty meatiness and floral element to the nose from the French oak that echoes pleasantly on the palate. It’s a big, ripe, mouth-filling wine with a good backbone that contrasts well with the brambly, cherry flavors. The wine has jammy fruit and peppery spice.

……………………………………………

Award Series – Under $15

RED – 2011 Los Dos Grenache+Syrah, Rioja, Spain
$12.95 -Produced from 35 to 50 year old vines, Los Dos is aromatic,
full flavored, and an easy drinking crowd pleaser. A happy
combination of Grenache and 15% Syrah, it exhibits luscious
scents of juicy, ripe black raspberry and cherry. Flavors come across
super ripe and juicy with a smooth texture, lightly dusty tannins
and a well-structured, lingering aftertaste. This wine pairs well
with aged hams, manchego cheese, or even paella. Drink today
through 2015.

WHITE – 2011 Ch. La Verrier Bordeaux Blanc, Bordeaux,
France – $13.95 – Winning accolades from our staff, this Bordeaux
white hits all the right notes. Made from Sauvignon Blanc it expresses
an intriguing mix of lime, jalapeno and white pepper aromas.
The wine is surprisingly creamy and mouth coating yet exhibiting
a bright freshness incorporating flavors of white grapefruit and a
touch of lean minerality. Try with a tarragon-chicken salad, or even
pasta with a lemon-cream sauce. Drink today-2014.

Classic Series – Under $20

RED – 2011 Ch. Pech Celeyran 5th Generation Red,
Languedoc, France – $18.95 – Wines from the south of France
continue to get better with each year. This combination of their
indigenous grapes includes Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre,
blended to deliver a broad, soft mouthfeel with a richly structured
finish. Introduced by boysenberry and earth scents, the wine exhibits
generous blackberry and boysenberry flavors balanced by good
acidity and dusty tannins. Tobacco and light tar on the finish make
it perfect for winter stews. Drink today – 2017.

WHITE – 2011 Justin Chardonnay, Central Coast, CA
$19.95 – Justin’s reputation for powerful and juicy reds can
overshadow their deft hand with Chardonnay. Don’t let that fool
you, this 2011 vintage is a real jewel! Spicy tropical scents arrive
full of complex suggestions of lemon, toast and nuts. The wine is
crisp with a blast of citrus, apple and lemon/lime flavors. Subtle
highlights of vanilla from toasted French oak give a beautiful sheen
to the clean, refreshing finish. Try this with crab cakes or halibut
finished with a lemon sauce. Drink today through 2014.

Collector Series – Under $30

RED – 2008 Belasco de Baquedano AR Guentota Old
Vine Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina – $26.50 – Argentina has
a way with Malbec because their extremely high-altitude vineyards
cause thick skin development and accompanying concentration of
flavors in the fruit. Scents in this jewel are perfumed, juicy and ripe.
The wine is balanced, elegant and juicy with all-over-the-mouth
flavor. With blackberry, spice and hints of charcoal on the finish,
Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate gave 90 points, saying, “Aromas of
exotic spices, incense, plum, black cherry; good volume, balance,
and length.” On the Pampas they have this with steak, no foolin’.
Enjoy today through 2015.

WHITE -2011 Cliff Lede Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley,
CA – $25.95 – We were thrilled to taste this wine and immediately
decided to put it in the club. Sauvignon Blanc’s classic characteristics
of grapefruity citrus and green herb come together in this version
with unexpected grace and harmony. Huge aromatics of pear and
lime zest introduce this lovely wine. Melon and lychee are supported
by flinty minerality with a rich and long finish. Classic combinations
include seafood of any type or salads incorporating goat cheese or a
citrus dressing. This will also pair perfectly with spicy dishes. Serve
slightly chilled now through 2015.

Prestige Red – Under $50

RED – 2007 Miner Merlot, Stagecoach Vineyard, Napa
Valley,California – $42.00 – Premium grapes from Stagecoach
Vineyard are a key ingredient for over 70 wineries, including
Caymus, Krupp Brothers, Chappellet, and Paul Hobbs. Steep
hillsides above the fog give the fruit a special depth of richness and
intensity uncommon in lowland fruit. Scents are deep, dark, and a
little smoky, its Napa! Smooth and lush flavors are super ripe and
juicy with bold blackberry flavors. The wine is balanced and very
food friendly with chalky tannins on the lingering finish. This is a
classic “Cab-drinker’s” Merlot. From 90% Merlot, 5% Malbec, &
5% Cabernet Franc, and 21 months in 55% new French oak, drink
this full-throttle red now through 2016.

Cellar Selection – Under $100

RED – 2008 Monte Tondo Amarone della Valpolicella, Italy
$90.00 – Monte Tondo, famous for their Soave Classico, has also
created this superb Amarone. From the northern district of Veneto,
the Amarone wine is made from Corvina and Rondinella, the same
primary grapes of regular Valpolicella. What sets this wine apart is
the drying of the grapes prior to fermentation. Almost one-third
of the moisture in the grapes is allowed to evaporate from whole
clusters and not fermented until nearly three months after harvest.
The resulting deep red wine exhibits “…an almost haunting nose
of dried plums, exotic spices, brambleberry, and dark cacao.” Very
lovely, rich, and smooth, this is considered by many experts to be
among the finest wines made in Italy. Drink today through 2020
with a fine meal!

RED – 2010 Borsao Tres Picos Garnacha, Campo de Borja,
Spain – $14.95 – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate gave 92
points, saying “One of my favorite offerings from the Bodegas
Borsao is the 2010 Tres Picos- their interpretation of
Chateauneuf du Pape. Deep notes of roasted herbs, sweet
black cherries and raspberries, peppers and spice soar from
the glass of this dark ruby purple-tinged wine. Full-bodied,
rich, ripe, silky textured, pure and long, this unbelievable
value should drink well for 3-4 years.” We were excited to
taste and experience this delicious selection. Casseroles, stews,
and grilled vegetables would all be well matched. Drink today
through 2016.

WHITE – 2011 Domaine des Cassagnoles Cotes de Gascogne,
France – $14.95 – In the hands of a really good winemaker
the “common” grapes of this area are capable of being
transformed into truly noteworthy wines. This blend achieves
that status from approximately 45% Colombard, 30% Ugni
Blanc, and 25% Gros Manseng. Mineral and lime scents lead
to brisk, racy, and refreshing flavors showing tasty pepper,
flinty minerality, and lime. Smooth yet crisp, try with goat
cheese appetizers or split pea soup. Drink today – 2014.

Classic Series – Under $20

RED – 2009 Lost River “Western Red”, Columbia Valley,
WA – $19.95 – Western Red celebrates the Western red
cedar trees that surround the Lost River winery in the upper
Methow Valley. The deftly-crafted red is a Bordeaux-style
blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Exuding deep, ripe baked
blackberry cobbler and spice scents, the texture is smooth with
flavors that are rich and extracted. Its creamy mouthfeel and
good acid balance follow through with suggestions of dried
berry and leather on the end. A hearty wine for stews and
soups, drink today through 2015.

WHITE – 2011 Loimer “Lois” Grüner Veltliner, Austria
$17.95 – This racy white deserves an applause! Grüner Veltliner
is a grape cultivated mostly in Austria where the cool
hillsides provide an ideal environment for this variety. Pale
yellow in color, this wine is purely aromatic and lively. Lovely
aromas of fragrant lime flower, fresh apples and citrus, this
wine carries a zippy fresh acidity inviting shellfish or seafood of
any type. With great spice components as well as exotic fruit
and a refreshing minerality, you can enjoy this either on its
own, as an aperitif or with light dishes. Drink today – 2014.

Collector Series- Under $30

RED – 2007 Lopez Cristobal Tinto Crianza, Ribera del
Duero, Spain – $29.95 – In the heart of the Ribera del
Duero of northwest Spain, Lopez Cristobal is redefining
one of the most prestigious zones in Spain. A family
estate for nearly 100 years, Galo Lopez coaxes nuance and
subtlety from the brute power of his Tempranillo. Fresh and
elegant aromas show a wealth of berry fruits (blackberries,
raspberries and gooseberries), and a hint of oak. Complex,
ripe and rich in the mouth, the wine possesses full-throttle
flavors with soft, ripe tannins and lovely toasted oak with a
lingering finish. The finish is long and elegant with a sweet
cherry note. Try with braised meats through 2015.

WHITE – 2009 Olsen Estates Chardonnay, Columbia
Valley, Washington – $25.50 – This is the last of Olsen’s
wines left in the market after their winery closed, and you
are getting a deal! Aged in the bottle, you’ll notice rich
tropical fruit fragrances with citrus and butter that have
only become more lush and harmonious its extended time in
the bottle. Pure, complex and rich flavors of creamy lemon
and orange zest are accented by pineapple and a slight note
of butterscotch. The texture is silky and the finish toasty,
long and lush. Enjoy with roast chicken or crab cakes, Yum!
Drink today through 2013.

Prestige Red – Under $50

RED – 2008 Brian Carter Cellars Tuttorosso, Yakima,
WA – $42.00 – Winemaker Brian Carter has been making
wine in Washington for over 30 years and has been named
Winemaker of the Year twice. Tuttorosso is a thoroughly
delicious Super Tuscan-style red blend of 67% Sangiovese,
18% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Syrah. Our tasters
insisted we needed this in the club for its cedar and spicelaced
deep ripe berry flavors, lovely balance, and juicy
extended finish. Paul Gregutt of Wine Enthusiast gave
90 points: “Made in a super Tuscan style, this blend of
Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah is lush and
lovely. Lightly floral aromatics introduce notes of berry,
plum and a whiff of leather. It displays excellent balance
and structure, with soft, yielding tannins.” Enjoy this with a
hearty mushroom risotto, or veal saltimbocca. Drink today
through 2016.

WINE ALERT – Superior Quality! –
Napa Valley Cab Sauv & Sauv Blanc of High Order

VINO! – Spokane’s Wine Authority –
Finding Premium Rarities

Date: December 7,
2012

We are thoroughly excited about these two wines from a relatively little-known winery for a number of very good reasons, first of which is that they simply taste fabulous! Tasted just last week, we were floored with the fact that here were TWO wines coming from the same winery exhibiting impressively pure and vivid flavors with extraordinarily seamless balance. The 91 point 2009 Cliff Lede Stag’s Leap Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon ($65.00 / cc 55.25) delivers a lavish, seamless purity of Cabernet fruit with the precision reached only by the best Napa wineries in the best vintages. It is a classic that will age well for a good 15+ years. Yet unrated, the 2011 Cliff Lede Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc ($25.95 / cc 22.06) leads off with a beautiful expression typical of that grape: a pure lime, kiwi, and green herb perfume that follows through like satin on the palate. These are simply too good not to pass on the news. The history of scores for both holds steady in the 90-93 point range. Aside from being deliciously harmonious, their heritage carries significant stature; not only are the grapes from the Stag’s Leap AVA, the people behind the grape growing and winemaking are among the best in the world. Phillipe Melkais their winemaker, he consults for other prominent wineries, makes the widely-praised Quintessa in Napa Valley, plus he crafts the blended red Pirouette at Long Shadows in Walla Walla. The world-renowned, globe-trotting consultant Michel Rolland works with this winery; he is a Bordeaux producer himself, plus he makes Pedestal Merlot at Long Shadows in Walla Walla. Critic Robert Parker says, “Readers looking for a future superstar from Napa need look no further.” We agree.

Both of these wines are fabulous. They would make an awesome gift.

May we suggest:
A 2-pack with 1 of each – only $90.95 | cc 77.31
A 4-pack with 2 of each – only $181.90 | cc 154.62

1. Cliff Lede Napa Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, Stag’s Leap District
Napa, California Wine Advocate 91 Points

5% Six Bottles $370.50 | cc 331.50
10% 12 Bottles $702.00 | cc 663.00

Vino! Notes: Dark cocoa and blackberry extract aromas introduce the wine. Our notes continue with “smooth, velvety, ripe blackberry, eucalyptus, concentrated, balanced, lush, plum, elegant YUMOLA!!, Does not suck!!, Speaks ‘NAPA’, and “Yum!” We were seriously impressed with this Cabernet Sauvignon, among the best we’ve tasted this year, truly.

Wine Advocate gave 91 Points: “The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District shows off considerable focus and depth, not to mention terrific overall balance. Dark plums, cherries, spices, licorice and cassis are some of the notes that flow from this long, pure wine. Today the tannins are a bit compact, but bottle age should help to some degree. The 2009 is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec, 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024.” – December, 2011

WINE ALERT – Seattle “Warehouse
Finds”

VINO! – Spokane’s Wine Authority –
Finding Wines with Value and
Personality

Date: November 28,
2012

One of the best things about our monthly Seattle wine-finding trips is the extensive selection of unfamiliar
wines we get to learn about. Spokane routinely misses out on some great deals offered only on the west side
of the state, so we make it our job to chase after them. Two we tasted recently from our friends at V.I. Wines
were just terrific, and they really deliver for the money. The first is a complex and lively non-vintage red
blend (several vintages blended together) of Sangiovese, Zinfandel, and others that won a Gold Medal and Best
of Class in the 2012 California State Fair. The big and juicy Rare Red ($11.95 / cc 10.16) was ranked by one
online retailer as The Top California [inexpensive] Red Wine Blend, calling it, “…a rich masculine wine and
[it] makes an excellent sipper.”

The second wine, Angelini’s 2011 Pergola Rosso ($16.50 / cc 14.03) is a super-smooth, lighter bodied floral red
from central Italy’s Pergola grape. Produced entirely from estate-grown fruit, we loved its rich floral aromatics,
berry-like flavors, and velvety texture. The online site TastingTable.com described it saying, “Angelini’s Pergola
Rosso has a soft lavender bouquet and tastes like an insane Jolly Rancher made from wild roses, cherries and strawberries…. The wine is great on its own as a pre-dinner drink, but it can also carry the weight of a meal.” Now that’s an endorsement, and we totally agree!

Serve both of these wines with more casual fare; we thought “pizza… spaghetti… meat loaf… “ You get the picture, they will go well even while you’re preparing dinner! Both of these selections are pre-order, we’ll pick up whatever you order on our next Seattle run, December 10, and they’ll be available for pickup after December 12. It is fun finding these bargains!

May we suggest:
A 2-pack with 1 of each – only $28.45 | cc 24.18
A 4-pack with 2 of each – only $56.90 | cc 48.37
A 6-pack with 3 of each – only $81.08 | cc 72.55
Mixed case with 6 of each – only $153.63 | cc 145.10

(TO ORDER: simply reply to this message with your request at vino@vinowine.com or click the order now button)
1. Rare Red NV
California Gold Medal & Best of Class / 2012 California State Fair

One Bottle $11.95| cc 10.16 (cc = 15% discount*)
5% Six Bottles $68.12 | cc 60.95
10% 12 Bottles $129.06 | cc 121.89

Vino! Notes: Sourced from vineyards throughout California the Rare Red combines Sangiovese, Zinfandel,
& others. Its silky texture and easy-going juicy black raspberry personality made it all too easy for us to
reach for the next glass. This refreshing quaffer offers mellow tannins, bright fresh fruit, and balanced acidity

Vino! Quotes: With a gentle perfume of flowers like a rose sachet, the flavors are a juicy reflection of those same aromas. Suggestions of pie-cherry, raspberry, and spice round out the impression and the light tannic snap at the end gives just the right structural balance. Elegance and fruit and flowers and a bit of a citrus tang all combine into a lovely and happy glass of red.

Winery Notes: This 100% Estate grown Pergola Rosso has aromas of mountain rose petals and lavender. A medium bodied dry wine with silky soft texture and notes of wild cherries, strawberries and currants. Ideal with grilled white meats, pasta carbonara and risotto dishes.

Award Series – Under $15

RED – 2010 Bonterra Zinfandel, Mendocino, California
$14.95 – Bonterra Vineyards emerged in 1990, produced at the
Fetzer winery, and first released 1992 as one of the early pioneers
in growing organic wine grapes. Bonterra has become the
number one selling brand of wines in the US that is made with
organic grapes. Classic Zinfandel aromas of bramble and ripe
dark fruit introduce this silky textured wine. Flavors of black
raspberry, blackberry and vibrant blueberry mingle with hints of
creamy vanilla and dusty tannins. Drink at room temperature
today through 2016 with roasted meats, 5-Spice Duck, or Veal
Saltimboca.

WHITE – 2011 Dopff & Irion Pinot Blanc, Alsace, France
– $14.95 – Alsace, near Germany’s Riesling-growing district, produces
white wines with rich textures and very elegant complexity.
This Pinot Blanc displays beautifully aromatic orange blossom
scents mingling with apricot and delicate mineral. The texture is
silky and the wine is bright with balanced acidity, tangerine and
orange flavors. The finish is dry and lingers on and on. Serve
slight chilled as an aperitif or with spinach salad with mushrooms
and bacon, or sautéed chicken with a tarragon sauce. Drink today
through 2014.

Classic Series – Under $20

RED – 2010 Rhiannon Red Wine, California – $15.95
Rhiannon is made by Rutherford Wine Company, a familyowned
and managed winery in Napa Valley, representing the rich
diversity of California’s outstanding appellations. Rhiannon is a
blend of Syrah, Zinfandel and Barbera. The wine is approachable
in style with juicy aromas of cherry, ripe blackberry and spicy
vanilla. Juicy, lush fruit flavors show cherry and raspberry with
hints of vanilla. Soft tannins and a lush finish will match well
with grilled meats or chicken, even BBQ or pizza. Drink now
through 2015.

WHITE – 2011 Hahn Estate Chardonnay, Santa Lucia
Highlands, Central Coast, CA – $19.95 – The Monterey Bay in
California is one of the coastal areas where Chardonnay struts its
stuff. Hahn, founded in 1991, has over 1,000 acres of vineyards
in Monterey County including the Santa Lucia Highlands. This
is classic California-style Chardonnay offering all the tropical
fruit, butterscotch and silky mouth-coating texture you could
want. Add a bit of green apple tartness to the full flavor profile
and you have the perfect match for roast chicken. Serve slightly
chilled today through 2015.

Collector Series- Under $30

RED – 2010 Mollydooker “The Boxer” Shiraz, Australia
$29.50 – Mollydooker (Aussie for left-handed) continuously
produces some of the highest-rated wines from Australia
and has been winning awards since their first vintage. Robert
Parker’s Wine Advocate gave 91 points to this densely
flavored wonder, saying, “The 2010 The Boxer Shiraz has
notes of warm blackberries and blueberries with nuances of
menthol, some spice cake, anise and bacon fat. Concentrated,
big, rich and ripe, it offers a very spicy palate with some
licorice and cumin seed coming through, supported by a
medium level of velvety tannins, lively acidity and finishing
very long. Drink it now to 2017+.” Extraordinarily pretty,
we would match The Boxer with full-flavored blue cheeses,
grilled meats, or hearty winter stews.

WHITE – 2010 Pupillo “Cyane” Dry Moscato, Sicily
$27.95 – This was a delightful surprise, finding a Moscato
wine, usually made sweet, as a dry, hugely fragrant white
with a generous perfume and delicately woven flavors that
almost defy description. Lovely floral scents of honeysuckle
and orange blossom introduce this complex wine, amazingly
delicate flavors while a silky, rich texture caresses the palate
featuring lychee, lime, and starfruit. Fresh and clean the
wine is simply ethereal and would make a great match for
crab, lobster, or angel hair pasta with a delicate cream-based
sauce. Drink today through 2013.

Prestige Red – Under $50

RED – 2010 Belle Glos Pinot Noir, Las Alturas Vineyard,
Santa Lucia Highlands, Central Coast, CA – $50.00
When Chuck Wagner of Caymus fame in Napa Valley
decided to make Pinot Noir he named it after his mother,
Belle Glos. This dramatic and impressive red showcases
ripe, rich and spicy scents of dark, juicy fruit. The palate is
round and very full. Dark red in the glass the wine is spicy
with plum and licorice notes and a long lush finish. Fully
extracted with flavor intensity unusual for a Pinot Noir,
the wine is very flavorful throughout. The Wine Spectator
gave 92 points, saying, “Deliciously pure, rich and layered,
with complex currant, blueberry and wild berry fruit that’s
supple, deep and persistent, ending with ripe tannins. Drink
now through 2023.”
